A glorious gated courtyard development of Nine 3 & 4 bed town houses in one of Torquay’s most historic sites

Tor Manor is set in the Tormohun Conservation Area, on the site of the original manor house overlooking the church yard and gardens of one of Torquay’s oldest and historically significant churches, the medieval parish Church of Torre, now St Andrew’s Church.

The church and associated manor house, called the Court House, was the seat of the pre-monastic manor of Torre and was the foundation of one of Torquay’s earliest settlements. It was acquired by and was part of the historic Torre Abbey and kept by them until 1539.

Tor Manor is surrounded by a substantial stone wall, into which is built an ancient fountain. This fountain marks the site of the medieval wellhead attached to the kitchen of the original Court House. It was rebuilt in 1860 and is a monument to the original manor house and settlement that grew up around it.

The Tor Manor development is a modern high quality testimony to the original manor house. Elevated, Gated and secure, with sweeping views from over the Church yard and the Bay views from the elevated family terraces on the top floors.

Roofs are on and the finishing phase will be starting shortly for plots 1 – 6.

The former Spa View Hotel in the Warberries area of Torquay closed some years ago and fell in to serious disrepair. Eventually the hotel was demolished and planning consent gained to redevelop the site for residential use.

Nirvana Homes acquired the site in late 2014 and have completed discussions with the local planning authorities to redevelop the site to a block of 9 fabulous luxury apartments.

The site enjoys a lovely sunny South facing aspect and views across the tree topped valley leading down to the harbour, in one of Torquay’s nicest residential areas.

Formerly the Hele Arms Pub this is now St Mary’s View. The pub closed down in 2011.  The pub has been demolished . Nirvana Homes is building a terrace of four superior 3-bed and 4-bed Town Houses.

Very much like in style and layout as the Tilia Mews development in Torquay, Sunnyside Cottages replaced a dilapidated former workshop in the ‘old village’ of Ivybridge.
The old workshops were demolished and four fabulous 2-bed, 2-bath Cottages were built.

Once again like Tavistock all the plots were sold off plan.

The Arches is a development of 5 apartments, adjacent to the old railway viaduct, in the centre of the historic market town of Tavistock.
This project was the company’s first development of flats/apartments.

This was our first development that sold out ‘off plan’ before the build had completed.

The old dilapidated Falkland garage in the Torre Conservation Area of Torquay was demolished and a terrace of six, 2 and 3-bed Mews Cottages/Town Houses were built.

Tilia Mews is located in Lime Avenue, a quiet tree lined road in a highly regarded part of Torquay, on a site formerly used as coaching stables.
